Fares currently in force
The figures shown above come from the fare approved and published by Aena for César Manrique airport, with the date it was checked. They apply to the meter: they are the only binding reference. Below you will find the indicative prices by route, with their source, and an explanation of why an estimate is never a fixed price.
Radio-taxi phone numbers
Each municipality has its own radio-taxi dispatch and the numbers are not valid across the whole island. We collect those of the fifteen main centres, together with the confirmed fixed taxi ranks of many of those towns, in a single list designed for calling from your mobile.
César Manrique Airport (ACE)
The taxi ranks are in front of the arrivals terminal. There is no compulsory pre-booking: you take the taxi in the official queue. From the airport there are indicative prices to the most requested destinations, such as Playa Blanca, Puerto del Carmen or Costa Teguise.
How to catch a taxi on the island
In the larger towns it is enough to find a signposted taxi rank; outside them it is best to call the dispatch of the municipality. The meter is compulsory and must be set to the first fare when you get in. Always keep the receipt: it is your guarantee for any claim.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a taxi cost in Lanzarote? +
Aena publishes the minimum fare and the price per kilometre, and they are broken down above with the date they were checked. The final price to each destination depends on the distance and the time of day: the prices page has an indicative price per route with the date it was checked.
Is there Uber or Cabify in Lanzarote? +
No. The service on the island is provided by the local radio-taxi companies and rank taxis. The private-hire apps do not operate here, so the alternative to a taxi of your own is the Intercity bus or car hire.
Do I have to book a taxi in advance? +
Not for ordinary journeys: at the airport and at signposted ranks you take the first in the queue. It is worth asking a few hours ahead for large groups, night transfers or very early departures.
