The north-east coast run
The airport sits south-west of it, inside Teguise, and a direct road — no island crossing — runs to Costa Teguise. The resort at the far end spreads across several centres, which is why naming your exact drop point does half the work for you.

Following the coast, not crossing the island
Out of the enclosure the car skirts the terminal and takes the road that runs north-east along the shore. It never turns inland to Arrecife and never crosses to the far side: the sea stays in sight for almost all of it, and there are few junctions to slow you down. Of the airport runs, this is the one people describe as easy.
Say which Costa Teguise you mean
The resort is not one address but several: hotels along the seafront, apartment blocks set a little behind them, villas down cul-de-sacs that no through road reaches. Give the full name of where you are staying, and if it is a villa or a flat give the street and number as well. For anything set back from the main road, name the entrance the driver should take, because the wrong one costs a lap of the whole zone.
Two moments worth planning
A summer afternoon landing means coast traffic, and the run takes longer for it — that is the road, not a fault in the route. A late arrival is the other moment: the Teguise fleet on duty at those hours is a smaller one, so having the dispatch number ready costs nothing. And if you already know you will need a car back to the terminal on the way home, ask on the day you land rather than the night before you fly.
The bus, or a car of your own
The service inland reaches Teguise and connects onward to the coast, which makes it the natural choice if you are travelling light and by day — slower, and with changes, but it runs. Hiring a car suits anyone who intends to see the rest of the island. For the arrival itself, with cases after a flight, the taxi is still the shortest way to the door.
Frequently asked questions
Where can we pick up a taxi in Costa Teguise itself? +
The hotel zone has posted ranks, though not at every corner. If you cannot find one, or you would rather have a car come to you, ring the Teguise dispatch — it covers the municipality day and night.
Will the driver wait while we load the cases? +
At the airport, yes: boarding happens at the rank in an orderly queue. At the far end the wait is a separate matter — agree it with the driver and it is charged as waiting time. Say so before the meter is left running rather than afterwards.
Can I book this taxi through your site? +
No. Lanzarote.taxi is an informational portal: it brokers nothing, takes no payment and has no agreement with any company. What this page gives you is what to ask for and who to ring, before you travel.
