Taxi from Lanzarote airport to Haría
Haría is to the north, in the valley of a thousand palms, and getting there from the airport means crossing the island through the centre and then dropping down into the valley. It is one of the longest journeys from the terminal, and the view changes completely on the way: from the coast to the interior, from the interior to the valley.

Map of Lanzarote
Across the island to the valley
The car climbs towards the centre of the island, crosses the plain of fields and then descends the northern road down into the Haría valley. There are bends on the climb and on the descent, and the driver usually takes them gently if you ask. The entrance to the village runs through narrow streets: if your accommodation is in the centre, it is best to get out at the entrance and walk in with the cases.
Tips for this journey
If bends make you queasy, ask for the front seat or tell the driver to take the slopes gently. If your visit falls on market days in the village, traffic and parking in the centre get difficult: get out on the edge and walk the rest. Keep the exact name of the accommodation to hand, because there are scattered houses in the valley.
The fleet in the north
A single dispatch covers several centres in the north of the island, so the vehicles are shared between them. For a particular pick-up — above all in the small hours to the airport — it is worth giving notice hours ahead and confirming in the morning. Calling the dispatch of another municipality will not get you collected there. This portal does not book: the arrangement is direct.
Other ways of getting there
The bus goes up to the north less often than the coast service: it is an option if you travel light and in no hurry, but it leaves stretches on foot with luggage. Car hire gives you more freedom to explore the valley and the north, with the drawback of parking in the village in high season. For arriving from the terminal, the taxi remains the most direct.
Frequently asked questions
Is the journey very bendy? +
The climb and descent from the centre of the island have bends, nothing unusual on Lanzarote's roads. If you get motion sickness easily, ask to sit in the front and tell the driver to take it gently; that does not make the journey any longer.
Are there taxis in Haría to get back to the airport? +
Yes, but the northern fleet covers several centres at once. Leave the pick-up settled with the Haría dispatch before your flight, especially if you are leaving in the small hours or on a Sunday, when fewer vehicles are in service.
Can the driver wait for me at the market? +
You can ask for a wait, but it is paid for as waiting time and has to be agreed before you get in. The most practical approach is to get out at the entrance to the village, leave the cases at the accommodation and do the shopping afterwards on foot.
